On March 29, the Brookhaven Town Board approved a five-year agreement with Long Island Events, a division of JVC Broadcasting, to produce shows and events at the Brookhaven Amphitheater. John Caracciolo, President and CEO of JVC Broadcasting and Long Island Events formally announced that an agreement has been reached with All Island Media, Inc. to rename the venue the Pennysaver Amphitheater at Bald Hill. The deal is a five-year agreement and the name change takes effect immediately.
"We are very excited and proud to have All Island Media and the Pennysaver brand as a partner in this facility," Caracciolo said. "A partnership like this will enable us to keep ticket prices low for the consumer and bring quality family entertainment to Suffolk County. This facility is a diamond in the rough and together we plan on making it a destination for national entertainment here in Suffolk County. We look forward to seeing our neighbors during our opening week concerts, July 3-7."
"We are thrilled to partner with the Town of Brookhaven and JVC Broadcasting," stated Ron Rudolph, President and CEO of All Island Media. "The Pennysaver has been a staple of the Long Island community for more than 50 years and this partnership allows us to give back to the communities that have embraced our products for
more than five decades. I have attended events at the Amphitheater and always saw the potential for this great venue to grow. Now, as a proud partner, I am excited to see this jewel in Brookhaven reach its full potential. We can now look forward to first class entertainment right here on Long Island."
With the support of both the Town of Brookhaven and Suffolk County, all road and highway signage will be updated to reflect the new name of the venue. In addition, All Island Media and Long Island Events have already begun efforts to replace signage within the venue. Long Island Events is also planning on the construction of a digital electronic sign near the entrance of the venue. Along with Mr. Rudolph, the deal was negotiated and finalized between Al DiCroce, Director of Marketing and Angelo Donofrio, Vice President of Sales for All Island Media and Joe Gerani of JVC Broadcasting. Gerani's Spot On Media Group will assist in all aspects of representation and branding of the venue now known as the Pennysaver Amphitheater.
